Brandon Elliott – Certified Martial Arts Instructor and Founder
For the past two decades, head coach and owner Brandon Elliott has been a prominent figure in the martial arts industry. He holds a 2nd Dan Black Belt in Kickboxing and extensive experience in JKD (Jeet Kune Do) and FMA (Filipino Martial Arts). At Omega Fit Academy, we believe martial arts can be a powerful tool for building confidence, strength, and discipline.
Brandon has traveled internationally, seeking out and training with the best instructors and fighters in the world. He has taught and fought across the UK and trained in the USA on multiple occasions with world-renowned gyms such as American Top Team and The Blackzilians.
Omega Fit Academy (OFA) is a premier martial arts facility offering a range of classes for all ages and abilities. Our experienced and passionate instructors provide top-tier training in a fun, friendly, and safe environment.
Brandon has appeared in the TV documentary “David Jason’s Secret Service” with Sir David Jason, as one of three martial arts experts demonstrating the combative techniques used during World War II, as seen on Channel 4.
Teaching both children and adults, Brandon’s passion is to deliver quality martial arts training and to change lives through positive coaching, helping you reach your goals, whatever they may be. Our Little Ninjas program has been specifically developed to create disciplined, respectful, and responsible martial artists, equipping them with valuable skills for both on and off the mat.
Siân Cushion – Assistant Instructor
Siân Cushion is a dedicated and passionate Assistant Instructor at Omega Fit Academy. With over 7 years of training in kickboxing, Muay Thai, and boxing, Siân brings a wealth of enthusiasm and commitment to her teaching role. She is currently advancing her skills and working towards higher proficiency in each discipline.
Siân’s martial arts journey began seven years ago, driven by her interest in self-defense and physical fitness. Over the years, she has participated in various local competitions and workshops, gaining valuable experience and honing her skills.
As an Assistant Instructor, Siân focuses on assisting with children’s classes & beginners. She is known for her patient and encouraging teaching style, making her a favorite among younger students and newcomers. Siân is committed to helping each student build confidence, discipline, and technical proficiency.
Siân’s teaching approach emphasises the importance of foundational techniques and the development of a strong martial arts mindset. She strives to create a fun and inclusive environment where students feel motivated to learn and grow.
Outside of martial arts, Siân is an avid walker and loves nothing more than popping her walking boots on to go exploring (with the doggos). She also has strong family values and spends lots of time supporting her family in their different fields.
Siân also loves to continually develop her skills in every area of her life.
Tasha Openshaw – Assistant Instructor
Tasha Openshaw serves as an enthusiastic Assistant Instructor at Omega Fit Academy, bringing a dynamic blend of martial arts passion and expertise in child development. With a focused dedication to kickboxing, Muay Thai, and boxing, Tasha continually advances her skills and proficiency in these disciplines.
Her journey into martial arts commenced two years ago, fuelled by a commitment to personal growth and a deep-seated passion for the challenges. During this time, Tasha actively participated in educational workshops, refining her techniques and gaining valuable practical experience.
Armed with a Bachelor’s Degree in Children’s Learning and Development as well as a Level 7 Diploma in Child Counselling, Tasha possesses a keen understanding of the developmental stages and effective teaching methodologies. She has dedicated herself to the field of education, specialising in mental health and emotional literacy, with a vast knowledge and inclusive mindset for all neurodivergence. She specialises in guiding children’s classes and beginners at Omega Fit Academy, leveraging her patient and nurturing instructional approach to foster student confidence and skill advancement.
Tasha emphasises foundational technique mastery and cultivates a resilient and disciplined martial arts mindset. She is dedicated to creating an inclusive learning environment where individuals are motivated to excel and achieve their personal martial arts goals.
Outside of her martial arts pursuits, Tasha is constantly expanding her knowledge. She loves the JKD philosophies, priding herself on her unwavering commitment to the things she loves, consistently giving 110%. Her energy and enthusiasm are contagious, making a positive impact on every endeavour. She loves to actively maintain a healthy body and mind and can often be found at the gym or a Costa Coffee shop.
